The Amazon Forest
The Amazon Forest, commonly called Amazon Jungle is a vast forest that reaches most of the countries in South America including Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyama and Suriname. It is the largest tropical forest in the Americas which houses the most unique and extraordinary biodiversity. The Amazon Forest is a refuge to over 2 million insect species and thousands of plants and animals of different kinds.
Few of the most interesting animals found in the deepest of Amazon Rainforest are golden lion tamarins, tapirs and poison dart frogs. Golden Lion Tamarin is a small monkey and an endangered species. It's most distinct feature is it's orange, almost reddish golden color. Tapir is an old and large primitive Brazilian mammal living in the Amazon Forest. At one quick glance, you can immediately notice the stripes in its body which resembles that of a zebra. On the other hand, Tapir is also famous for its unusual proboscis that look very similar to an elephant. Poison dart frogs are what we can call 'small but terrible'. They are the most colorful frogs you will ever see but they are as dangerous as they can be.
